Hello!
After doing over 50 pop-ups this year alone I’ve secured a shop in Historic Folsom! I’ve been looking for a small retail shop for over a year, I started in midtown with an office space, it was in a bad location and it just didn’t feel right. Then, I moved to Carmichael, for those who visited me there can agree it wasn’t the best location. It was off of a busy road with sketchy parking. I was having a difficult time finding a small retail location that didn’t cost an arm, and a leg.
I put my name on the waiting list in Historic Folsom, and after a year I received a call from the owner of The Candle Bar asking if I wanted to see the available space that just opened up. After the phone call I rushed over, and I instantly fell in love with the shop. I couldn’t believe it had window frontage to Sutter Street, and I instantly signed the lease!
I received the keys on October 1st, moved everything myself with the help of my friend Colby for a truckload with my redwood desk, and retro tv and a couple boxes. It only took me a few days to set up the shop. I needed to rush to open because I couldn’t afford to be closed. On October 6th I opened shop and started taking appointments.
It’s been a heck of a year, and am so excited to have a legit retail space that has rustic vibes with a disco twist. The building was built in 1875 as a car dealership. It evolved into retail space and there are so many cute shops and wine tastings here. In the 815 corridor the shops are: Merlo Family Estate Vinyards, Wolfhome home decor & makers mart, Candle Bar Folsom, Skincare with Jenna and Hair by Rain.
There’s a bunch of spots here to eat and explore with tons of history. If you book an appointment online be sure to come early to grab some wine de Merlo Family Estate or Crystal Basin Station you can bring your wine in the shop to enjoy while getting your permanent jewelry.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post, and am so happy to be doing what I love. My small business keeps me focused with a goal in mind which helps me as a person to be a contributing person in society. I appreciate you from the bottom of my heart and can’t wait to see you in the new shop in Folsom!
